Head Trainer at Clapsaddle Farms is Kim Elsner, who also operates Autumn Breeze Training housed at the Clapsaddle location.
Kim Elsner grew up on a horse training ranch in the Colorado Mountains. She started training horses as a young teenager and has owned horses for over 18 years. Kim’s showing career started with Arabians competing in everything from western, hunter pleasure, show hack, trail to English pleasure. She improved her versatility by entering into a Dressage career. Kim has been a successful dressage trainer for the past 15 years winning multiple Horse of the Year awards and Championships.
Kim has prided herself on being a versatile trainer giving all horses a solid foundation that will lead them into a successful career. From reining horses, ranch horses, jumpers and dressage horses Kim provides the horse with the basics- confidence, softness, balance and flexibility to succeed in their chosen discipline. She has trained with FEI reining and dressage trainers.
Kim graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in equine science. Kim has also received an AAS degree in Veterinary Technology. She passed the national board exam to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.
Her focus at Clapsaddle Farms is on breeding and training outstanding quarter horses for the purpose of performance events including: reining, cutting, roping and cow horse
Lessons are available for beginners through advanced riders. Lessons are offered in Dressage, Western, reining, natural horsemanship, problem solving and to improve basic riding skills. Please see www.autumnbreezetraining.com
