There was a plethora of activities occurring simultaneously last September when Clapsaddle Farms hosted FAMILY FUN DAY sponsored by the Rotary Club of Westminster to support its signature scholarship program. More than 300 people enjoyed live music provided by “Southern Exposure” and “Runaway Express”. The day’s events included: pig roast in a large tent; horseback riding for children; trail riding for adults; mule wagon rides provided by Bruce and Terry Wagner; challenge horseshoes; name the Filly jackpot; a $10,000 grand prize raffle; and a live auction that offered everything from quarters of beef (raised at Clapsaddle Farms) to a Mountain of Wine. Rotary Roundup at the Ranch is scheduled to be repeated later this summer or Fall. Visit the Clapsaddle web site for updated information, or click on www.Westminsterrotary.com for future dates.
Clapsaddle Farms is exploring an open house in cooperation with neighboring horse breeders that will include special seminars later in 2010.
Fall Color Day rides for Adults may be offered in late September in a near-by wilderness area, if there is sufficient interest in participation.
